Our Charter Experience
Joe and Lynne met in central California over 20 years ago. Their mutual love of the water and travel began their vision of one day owning a sailboat in the Caribbean. Years later, this vision turned to reality when they bought their first charter yacht, “IRIE”.
Joe and Lynne chartered as a team for over 12 years. They owned and operated “IRIE”, a 75’ Irwin for 8 years in the Virgin Islands. Previous to chartering the 75’ “IRIE”, they owned and operated a Morgan 46’ for 4 years (also called IRIE). Both PADI Scuba Instructors, they served as guides and instructors for thousands of dives throughout the Caribbean. Their travels, charters and diving while aboard their yachts have extended from Florida to South America.
Recently, the Campbell’s sold their 75’ yacht, “IRIE”, and moved their associated business from the Virgin Islands to Colorado, an adventurous state and a place they consider to be an ideal “anchorage” for their next chapter in life. Armed with 12 years of hands-on experience owning and operating two successful charter yachts, the experience of dealing with thousands of charter clients in an intimate setting, plus a continued passion for travel and exploration, Joe and Lynne have kept their feet wet and their wanderlust alive with Carefree Yacht Charters.
